Delete your account
You can delete your Mahima account and the data that goes with it at any time, with or without the app installed. Deletion is free and you do not have to give a reason.
From the app
- Open Mahima and go to Profile.
- Choose Privacy, then Delete my account.
- Read what gets deleted, tick the confirmation, and tap Delete my account.
Without the app
Email privacy@docran.in with the subject "Delete my account", from any device.
Include the mobile number you signed in with — it is the only identifier your account has. We will send a confirmation to that number before deleting, so nobody can delete your account but you.
What gets deleted, and when
- Everything the app kept on your phone is erased immediately when you delete from the app.
- Your account on our servers is closed immediately and permanently deleted after 7 days: your account record, your hashed phone number, your sign-in history and your hospital link.
- The 7 days are a safety margin. If you change your mind — or someone else reached the delete screen on your phone — signing in again within 7 days keeps your account. After 7 days it cannot be recovered.
What deletion does not remove
- Your medical record at your hospital. Hospitals are required to keep medical records under Indian law, and that record belongs to your hospital, not to this app. To ask about it, speak to your hospital.
- Data that only ever lived on your phone (your journal, period history, readings and similar) is not on our servers to delete — deleting from the app erases it from the phone, and uninstalling removes anything left.
